About Stack Tower
Stack Tower is a one-tap timing game. A block slides back and forth above your tower, and you tap to drop it. Whatever hangs over the edge of the block below is sliced off and falls away, so every sloppy drop leaves you a smaller block to work with. Land it dead on and you keep the full width. How high can you build before you miss?

How to play Stack Tower
- A block slides across above the top of the tower. Tap or click anywhere on the board, or press Space, to drop it.
- The part that lands on the block below stays. The part that overhangs is sliced off and tumbles away.
- The next block is only as big as what stayed, and it slides in along the other direction: side to side, then front to back, then side to side again.
- Drop a block within a hair of the one below for a Perfect. It keeps its full size and starts a combo.
- The game ends when a block misses the tower completely. Your score is the height of the tower.
Rules
- Your height goes up by one for every block that stays on the tower.
- A drop is perfect when it lands within a whisker of the block below: about 3% of a full block's width. It snaps into line and nothing is cut off.
- From the 4th perfect in a row, every perfect makes the block a little bigger again, up to the size of the first block.
- Any drop that isn't perfect resets the combo to zero.
- The blocks slide a little faster as the tower gets taller, up to a top speed.
- A block that doesn't touch the block below at all falls, and the game is over.
- Your best height is saved in this browser. A tower in progress is saved too, so a reload carries on where you left off.
Stack Tower tips and strategy
- Watch the edge, not the block. Pick one edge of the sliding block and tap as it lines up with the same edge below.
- Find a rhythm. The block moves at a steady speed, so after a pass or two you can count the beat and tap on it.
- Front-to-back blocks are harder to judge. Line up the front corner of the moving block with the front corner of the tower.
- A small overhang costs you for the rest of the game, so it's worth waiting a full pass for a clean drop rather than tapping early.
- Chase combos when your block is small: the 4th perfect in a row and every one after it gives you some width back.
- The dashed line on the paper marks your best height, so you can see how close you are.

How do I get a Perfect?
Drop the block so it lines up with the block below within a few pixels, about 3% of the full block width. It snaps into place, keeps its full size and the combo counter goes up. Anything more than that and the overhang is cut off.
Can a block grow back?
Yes. From the 4th perfect drop in a row, every perfect adds a little width back to the block. It can never grow bigger than the first block, and one imperfect drop resets the combo.
Does it get faster?
A little. Each new level slides slightly faster than the last, so the higher you build the less time you have to judge each drop, but the speed stops rising at a top speed.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. Tap anywhere on the board to drop; the drop happens the moment your finger touches the screen. The board fits on a phone screen, and it doesn't scroll or zoom while you tap.
