About Sky Bounce

Sky Bounce is an endless climbing game. Bop, a round little toy with springs in its feet, bounces by itself every time it lands on a platform. All you do is steer left and right, from one platform to the next, higher and higher into the sky. Watch out for platforms that crumble, ride the springs for a big boost, and stomp on the grumpy sky gremlins before they get you.

Also called: jumping game, bounce up game, platform jumper.

How to play Sky Bounce

1. Tap the board, or press Space, to start. Bop bounces automatically whenever it lands on a platform.
2. Steer with the Left and Right arrows or A and D. On a phone, hold the left or right side of the board, or turn on Tilt and tilt your phone.
3. Land on platforms to keep bouncing upward. You can pass up through a platform from below; you only land on one while falling.
4. Go off one side of the board and you come back on the other.
5. Your score is the highest point you have reached. The run ends if you fall off the bottom of the screen.
6. Press P or the pause button to pause. The game also pauses when you switch tabs.

Rules

• Green platforms stay put. Blue ones slide from side to side. Sandy ones with cracks break as soon as you land on them, and you fall straight through. Pink ones have a spring that launches you much higher.
• Sky gremlins hover here and there once you get going. Land on one from above to stomp it and bounce off. Touching one any other way ends the run.
• The view only moves up. Anything that drops below the bottom edge is gone, including you.
• The higher you climb, the further apart the platforms are, and the more of them move or break.
• The sky is built at random, but it is always climbable: the next solid platform is never higher than a normal bounce can reach, with time to steer across half the board.
• Tilt steering needs permission on some phones. If it isn't allowed, touch the sides of the board instead.
• Medals: bronze at 250 points, silver at 600, gold at 1,200. Your best score is saved in your browser.

Sky Bounce tips and strategy

• Steer early. Pick your next platform while you are still going up, not on the way down.
• Use the wrap. If a platform is near the far edge, going the other way round is often shorter.
• Cracked platforms can't hold you. Don't count on one to save a fall.
• A spring throws you very high. Look for a landing spot as you come down.
• Stomp gremlins from right above them. Coming up from underneath is the dangerous side.
• Small, gentle taps on the sides give you finer control than holding all the way.
