Today's Word Hive is the same seven letters for every player. Reach Great to solve it and keep your daily streak going, and come back tomorrow to see every answer. A new hive arrives at 00:00 UTC.

Word Hive is a word-making puzzle: seven letters sit in a honeycomb, and you make as many words as you can from them, always using the yellow centre letter. Longer words score more, and every hive hides at least one pangram that uses all seven letters. The daily hive is the same for everyone, and Unlimited gives you a fresh hive whenever you want one.

How to play Word Hive

1. Tap the hexagon letters, or type on your keyboard, to spell a word. It appears above the hive.
2. Press Enter to submit it. Press Delete (or Backspace) to remove the last letter.
3. Every word must be at least four letters long and must include the centre letter. You can use any letter more than once.
4. Press the shuffle button (or the Space bar) to rearrange the outer letters. A new layout often shows you words you had missed.
5. Found words are listed under the progress bar, and your rank climbs as your score grows. Reach Great to solve the hive, then keep going for Hive Master.

Rules

• Words must be four or more letters, use the centre letter at least once, and use no letters outside the hive. Repeated letters are fine: with the letters T, I, D, E, L the word TITLED counts.
• Scoring: a four-letter word is worth 1 point. A longer word is worth 1 point per letter, so a six-letter word scores 6.
• A pangram uses all seven letters at least once and earns a 7-point bonus on top of its length. Every hive has at least one.
• Hives never contain the letter S, so plurals don't pad the list. Proper nouns, hyphenated words, abbreviations and offensive words are not accepted.
• Each hive's answer list is made of common English words (20 to 60 per hive). Rarer words from the wider word list are also accepted and score points, but you never need them.
• Ranks are shares of the hive's maximum score: Beginner, Good Start (2%), Moving Up (5%), Good (8%), Solid (15%), Nice (25%), Great (40%), Amazing (50%) and Brilliant (70%). Hive Master means you found every answer word.
• Reaching Great solves the hive and counts towards your statistics and daily streak. The daily hive changes at 00:00 UTC.

Word Hive tips and strategy

• Start with the pangram hunt, but don't get stuck on it. Short words build points and reveal useful chunks; the pangram often appears once you've seen the letters combine a few times.
• Look for endings. -ED, -ING, -ER, -LY and -TION are common in hives. If the hive has E and D, try adding -ED to words you have already found.
• Shuffle often. Your eye reads the letters differently in a new arrangement, and new word shapes jump out.
• Try doubling letters. Words like ILLEGAL, BOOKED or COFFEE use one letter twice and are easy to overlook.
• Build families. After LIGHT, try LIGHTED, LIGHTER, LIGHTLY and so on. One good root can be worth a dozen words.
• Check yesterday's answers. The Yesterday button shows the full list, with the words you missed greyed out. It is the fastest way to learn the kinds of words these hives like.
